This school year AWOL Outreach wanted to make a big impact. Providing for our youth is important but we recognize that starting a new school year comes with many anxieties from new beginnings to financial hardships. Partnering with Davidson County Correctional Center allowed us to provide family members with school supplies to start off a successful school year. What made this day truly special was the inmates were given the opportunity to pack the backpacks and hand them over to their families. Awarding families with priceless quality time with each other facilitates a more compassionate and profitable community. We were fortunate to have these efforts mentioned in the local news.
